A few weeks ago, my husband turned forty so I decided to make a trip to Formby Hall spa for an overnight stay. This was a surprise as it was for the day after his birthday as I knew he wanted to visit there.
We’ve been here before some time ago, but didn’t get the chance to try the treatments at the spa. This time we booked a package for an overnight stay, evening meal, breakfast and a treatment each.
I booked our stay online and then phoned them to decide on a time for our treatments and also to pick a time for our evening meal. I would recommend booking early if possible so you can get the times that you want as these get booked up really quick!
On The Day
On the day we started with our spa treatments, I had the facial and my husband had the neck and shoulder massage, they where amazing! Our treatments where in the same room and we both felt so relaxed by the end. After lunch and a drink, we had loads of time to spend at the indoor pool. thermal suite and tranquillity suite. This all includes steam rooms, saunas and your robes and slippers. There is a gym and exercise classes also available.
We had plenty of time until our evening meal to get ready and get our free cocktail from the bar! The rooms are lovely and there’s plenty of space. Our room was ground floor with a little outside area with a table and chairs, perfect for summer! Our evening meal of a starter and main was beautiful! We then went through to the bar with a relaxed atmosphere for a drink once we had finished.
Breakfast was included with this overnight break and again the food was lovely with lots to choose from. The views over the golf course with your food are brilliant.
Overall we had a brilliant time here and would love to stay again sometime. Anyone looking to book a wedding here, definitely take a look! The room holds quite a large number and weddings are kept completely separate to the rest of the hotel. I’m sure your wedding guests would love to stay and make a weekend of it!
Anyone else, book anyway! Birthday, hen party or just a treat for some timeout!
