It rehydrates skin

I will warn you that this face mask looks hilarious on and I did give my 12 year old son the fright of his life!
I certainly wouldn’t answer the front door to anyone wearing this! My husband said something about a horror film???
Anyway I followed the instructions, left it for 15 minutes and peeled off, its as quick as that!

Wedding Beauty Skincare – Moisturiser
Hi everyone! Hope your wedding planning is going well and your enjoying every minute?
I’m sure lots of you have started to look at wedding beauty products to use on the run up to your big day and have tried to find some affordable skincare products that wont break the bank?
Not sure about you but I find that I need a loan first to buy my skincare and then I spend most of my time worried the kids are going to use it!
Well this beauty product could be perfect for you! Simple Hydrating Moisturiser!
To start, let me tell you that for years and years I have spent a small fortune on a really expensive brand of moisturiser for my skincare routine and I’ve always stuck to the same one as many of us do!
As usual I let my moisturiser run out and didn’t have time to go for more as its not a brand that every shop sells.
This led to me just grabbing one off the shelf in my local supermarket thinking its better than nothing until I can get my usual expensive, works better because it costs more moisturiser???
So the next morning I tried it and thought OK its not bad for now, its fine for a couple of days until I get more.
Around four weeks later and I’m still using it and haven’t bothered with getting my usual £20 + products! It takes a few days to feel the difference so don’t try it once and then give up.
My skin has felt so soft and lovely that I will definitely stick with this one! Not that I don’t like my old one, its just for a price difference of around £20 for something that made my skin feel even better then why not?
I’ve now gone on to buy the face wash too and added that to my daily routine.
These products have no artificial perfume, colour or chemicals so its gentle on your skin and its also easy to use and affordable.
Directions – Apply to your face and neck twice a day morning and night, using upward and outward movements. You don’t need loads but give it a good few days to feel the difference!
Price – £2.50!! My lovely local supermarket had a special offer on beauty products and also had 3 for 2 if anyone is looking for a few products to try.
Beauty Score – 9/10
Hubby test – Happy I’m not spending over £20 on moisturiser anymore!!!
Let us know what you think of this product or any others that you have tried! Hope this helps with your wedding beauty planning!
The Body Shop British Rose Plumping Face Mask
Hi everyone! I’ve not tested any new beauty products for a while so thought I’d share a new find that I have with you all!
The Body Shop has just recently brought out a new range of face masks to give your skin a little treat from your own home without breaking the bank!
I’ve decided to try out the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask out of the range this time to see if it gives me a more youthful appearance! It’s also used to replenish the skin with moisture.
I bought mine from The Body Shop at Home for £15 for a 75ml jar.
The packaging looked fab and made me feel like I’d spent out on a more expensive product for myself.
This face mask has been infused with real rose petals and the scent is beautiful! It’s 100% vegan and of course it’s not been tested on animals as always with The Body Shop products.
It’s made without parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil and is a perfect treat for your skin at home.
I found that it wasn’t so much of a thick face mask that you can see on your skin but more of a gel that you only need to leave on for around 10 minutes.
I rinsed this off my face after the 10 minutes and dried my skin and it definitely made my skin feel soft and fresher than before. My skin didn’t look as dull as it gave it a bit of a glow but didn’t feel to harsh or heavy on my skin.
This one can be used as often as you like so a couple of times a week would be perfect and I will definitely use it again and really want to try the others in the face mask range.
Product – British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask from The Body Shop at Home
Price – £15 for 75ml
Score – 9/10

Grapeseed Glossing Serum – The Body Shop
Hi everyone! I’ve got lots of new beauty products to test and share with you over the next few weeks!
Loads of these are perfect for your wedding day, hen party or that special occasion!
Today’s beauty product is from The Body Shop and it’s their Grapeseed Glossing Serum that’s advertised to help with frizz and to give gloss and shine to your hair.
Now I wouldn’t say I have very frizzy hair but it does go quite dull and can get a bit dry as I’ve coloured my hair for years.
So I ordered my product through The Body Shop At Home and it came in a little easy to use 75ml pump bottle like this.
Price – £7 BUT I only paid £4.20 as The Body Shop At Home had an amazing 40% off most products and gifts!
I know that I should use products on my hair to make it look it’s best but I have to admit that it’s something I seem to forget about so I was interested to see if this product would change anything?
You only need a small amount in your hand to smooth through your hair and although it can be used on towel dried hair, I used it once my hair was dry as either way is fine.
I applied two pumps of the serum as my hair is quite long and that was enough for hair that is past shoulder length and not very thick.
The first thing I noticed was the lovely fragrance, but it’s not over the top or overpowering! My hair felt lovely and not at all greasy as you would expect with a serum.
Through the day I found my hair felt soft and had more of a shine! I also felt like my hair had more body and wasn’t made to feel heavy as some products seem to do.
I’ve started to use it everyday after I’ve dried my hair and have found a product that I will continue to buy!
This product is lovely for everyday use, washes out easy and is quick to apply to your hair.
Another bonus that I found with this product was by accident, using it on my daughters hair!
As she always wants to try the products that I test, I let her have what was left on my hands one day on her hair ( just to keep her happy really!)
Around 20 minutes later I came to style her hair and found it so easy to get the brush through her hair!
Now anyone who lives within two miles of my house could probably tell you when my child is having her hair done! So she’s now happy to have her hair done and I’m sure I now have happier neighbours! 🙂
My score – 10 out of 10 Love it!

I’m also including a daughter test for this one – Pass!
Please feel free to comment and let everyone know if you’ve used this yourself! I would love to hear what you think about this product.

Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes
Ok so you may have heard about the Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes?
They say that using this product will increase your average lash volume by up to 400% to give you that perfect look?
After seeing lots of pictures showing how this product works I thought I would try it for myself and see what all the fuss was about!
Now I was loving the idea of trying this product as I have the shortest eyelashes ever! and I had seen lots of pictures like this one showing before and after using the Fiber Lashes.
After trying lots of different mascara over the years, some better than others! I made my order to give it a go.
received my 3D Fiber Lashes in less than a week and there are two mascara style tubes in the pack as shown in the picture below, one is the transplanting gel and the other is the natural fibers.
Directions – Apply an even coat of transplanting gel to the lashes.
While the gel is still wet on the lashes, apply the natural fibers in the same way as the gel.
Next go over the lashes again with the gel to seal the fibers and repeat these steps until
you get the desired fullness.
I followed these directions and couldn’t believe the difference it made to my eyelashes! I had heard so many people saying they had tried this and wouldn’t use anything else and now I can see why!
Some people may only want this look for a night out or for a special occasion but I found that just the one coat didn’t look too much for the day but enough that friends commented on how nice my eyes looked.
This is a perfect product for any bride wanting to do their own make up on their wedding day or for something a bit more glam on their hen party!
I love this product so much that I’ve joined the Younique team and become a presenter as well as already running my own business as I think their make up is perfect for any bride to be.
I now have lots of their products to try and love it! Every product that I have from them is amazing!
I would give this a score of – 10/10 – will definitely be using again!
Hubby score – 10/10 – lots of comments on how nice my eyes looked!
Let me know if you have tried this before and let us know what you thought!
Wedding Perfume Testing- Elie Saab
Hi everyone! More wedding perfume testing for today’s blog to help you find your perfect perfume for your special day! If your looking for a light floral scent then this may be the one for you!
I wanted to try one that’s completely different to the last one that we tested that was quite strong and decided to go with Elie Saab le parfum. Again the fabulous www.boots.com gave me a sample size bottle to take home and test!
I do love this perfume! It has such a lovely floral scent that’s light and fresh and it’s so feminine and pretty. It’s not too overpowering or strong and I’d say it’s quite a traditional perfume. This one also passed the husband test! He said it was lovely but maybe more of a daytime perfume?
As this is a lighter perfume, you may find that you need a bit more later in the day just to top it up so don’t expect it to last the whole day.
Not a bad price for this one as it was £38 from boots for a 30ml size bottle and they also have gift sets that would be perfect for your bridesmaids or a lovely lady in your wedding party!
I would give this – 8/10 🙂
Hubby Test – Pass
Thank you for visiting! Don’t forget to let us know if you have this perfume and tell us what you think of it!
Wedding Beauty Testing – Dry Shampoo Aveda
Hi everyone! I’ve decided to add a new page to my blog today for testing beauty products, hair care and make up!
A big part of planning our weddings is deciding on what hair style to have and how to get it in perfect condition, what make up to use and if we should do it ourselves? Also what skin care should we use to make sure it’s looking it’s best for the photos!
From today i will be testing out lots of beauty products that I think you might be interested in and ones that I think will be useful in the weeks before your big day.
If you have any favourites of your own why not let us all know on here! Tell us your beauty secrets!!!
The first one that I have tried today is Aveda dry shampoo! from www.aveda.co.uk and I tested this in Debenhams.
I thought this would be a great product to try as so many hairdressers tell you not to wash your hair on the morning of your wedding if your having curls or your hair put up. This one is also designed with natural ingredients and is a pump bottle rather than a spray.
It was easy to use –
Tip the bottle upside down and back again.
Squeeze the bottle lightly.
Lift parts of your hair to get the powder to the roots, as you squeeze the bottle the powder sprays out.
Massage powder into your scalp and restyle.
I have to say I’ve never wanted to use dry shampoo as I need to wash my hair everyday but this was lovely on my hair!
It smells lovely and doesn’t feel like you have any hair products on at all! My hair still felt light unlike other products that can make your hair heavy and it lasted through the day.
It is quite expensive as the price range is £18.50 – £22 so there are probably cheaper ones out there but I’d say it’s worth it if you think you’ll use it after the wedding, maybe on your honeymoon?
I would give it 8 out of 10 maybe more if it was a bit cheaper.
Don’t forget to tell us your beauty secrets and let us know if you try any of the products on here! Thanks for reading!
Perfume – Flowers By Kenzo L’Elixir
So, everyone wants a gorgeous perfume to wear on their wedding day! One that stands out and will remind you of your special day in years to come. I did this for my wedding day and every time I smell the perfume that I chose, it takes me right back to our wedding! The problem is I only have a tiny bit left and can’t bring myself to use it!
The first perfume that I’ve chosen to test on here is Flowers By Kenzo L’Elixir and here is my little trial size pack that was given to me by www.boots.com
I was really pleased with this perfume and how lovely it was!
It has a floral scent to it with a hint of raspberry and vanilla and would be perfect for a night out or a special occasion when you want something a bit different but still modern!
Its quite strong so it hits you straight away so probably isn’t a good idea to spay half the bottle all over yourself! I did find after a couple of hours that this calmed down a bit but I could still smell it on myself.
I think one spray of this perfume is enough and maybe add more later on in the day as my husband did comment on it as soon as he walked through the door! He also said hours later that he could still smell it and it was getting a bit sickly.
The price of this perfume is £66.50 for a 50ml bottle so is quite expensive but I did google and noticed that some places have a 30ml bottle for around the £40 mark so this can be done cheaper if you shop around.
I would give this 7/10 as it is a beautiful perfume but not ideal if your looking for something a bit lighter and not so powerful.
Let us know if you have a certain perfume for your special occasions that you would like to share with other brides!
